A week before the release of their debut LP, Sasha and Carsonaka electronic music duo Hunter&Gamewelcome a Catalan documentary film crew into their Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment (which doubles as a practice space) and let the documentarians shadow their lives. As excitement builds for their album launch and upcoming tour, the duo trip eagerly through Brooklyns thriving DIY music scene. But as hype slams into reality, the film crew realizes they may have stumbled upon a story more interesting than the one they anticipated.
Hunter&Game was both written and directed by Kevin Alexander and stars Nico Tortorella and Cameron Scoggins as Hunter&Game. The indie flick was shot almost entirely in Brooklyn, showcasing real bands and venues.
Hunter&Game premiered at the LA INDIE Film Festival in October 2014, where it won the Best Feature and Best Direction of a Feature awards. The film had its East Coast premiere at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival in May 2015, where it won the Best Feature award.
More information can be found via Hunter&Game’s official social media pages which I will list for you below. Please check them out, and of course, make a date with either Indieflix or Brooklyn on Demand, November 3rd.
